Chapter President's Comments
My thanks to all members, new members, and guests that came out to Cole Park Commons for our May meeting. As always the staff provided us with a fine meal. I hope all had a good time. Our next meeting is at Barkley Lake State Resort Park in KY. Should anyone need a ride to the meeting please contact me or one of the other officers and we will arrange for transportation.
Some good news from Capitol Hill. On May 12th House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that a fix to the upcoming 21% cut in Medicare and Tricare payments to doctors was in the works and would be completed before the 1 June deadline. The proposal would eliminate cuts for five years and would even allow for some increases in payments to doctors through 2013. Although this is not a permanent fix it is somewhat better than the constant delaying action that has been used.
Please remember to display the flag on Flag Day (June 14th) and I want to wish all Chapter members that are fathers a Happy Fathers Day (June 20th).

When reservations are made for Chapter meetings, commitments are made to the restaurant/meeting place to pay for the number of reservations reported.
