Medicare/TRICARE Threat Is Back
Legislators once again are playing brinksmanship games on the 21% cut in Medicare/TRICARE payments scheduled for June 1. Despite this threat, they're about to leave town for a week-long recess. Your help is needed to urge Congress to action.
House, Senate Defense Bills Advance
The House is expected to vote today (May 28) to adopt the FY2011 Defense Authorization Bill. The full House and the Senate Armed Services Committee voted Thursday to lay out a road to repeal of the "don't ask, don't tell" law -- provided Defense leaders and the President certify that repeal won't hurt military readiness, effectiveness, unit cohesion and recruiting.
Out Against Funeral Protesters MOAA Speaks
MOAA joined Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) in speaking at a Capitol Hill press conference in advance of the Supreme Court's consideration of a lawsuit over protests at military funerals.
